Product Inspection Services
By performing inspections, we are able to identify problems early with the goal of eliminating the causes. Utilized correctly, inspections save money by eliminating process problems and ensuring that the end product meets customers’ requirements and expectations.
The main types of inspections we offer include:
Pro QC inspects first-article samples prior to volume production. This verifies that product specifications are being met and avoids unnecessary reengineering work later.
These on-site inspections evaluate samples of your products selected during the manufacturing process. This confirms the quality of your product and allows any necessary changes to be addressed early on, reducing rework time and costs.
During a pre-shipment inspection, our engineers verify that finished goods conform to your specifications.
Pro QC ensures that proper methods are employed during product loading, and we verify counts on-site.
Pro QC recommends ANSI Z1.4 2003 sampling tables to determine the number of units that will be randomly selected for evaluation. If you do not have existing sampling requirements, Pro QC will assist you in determining which plan works best for your specific needs. Samples are checked against a detailed inspection plan for appearance, applicable functionality, packaging integrity, workmanship, etc. If you currently do not have an inspection plan, Pro QC can assist. Defects noted are classified as major, minor, or critical depending on inspection plans. The acceptable quality level (AQL) is determined by totaling the defects and using the corresponding accept/reject criteria within the sampling plan.
Auditing vendors is a critical but often overlooked step in the sourcing process. Verifying a supplier’s capabilities via one of our highly trained auditors will provide you with comprehensive insight into their set-up, and will tell you whether or not the vendor in question is up to the task. Pro QC International offers a variety of audits for different purposes, e.g. to verify compliance with retailer standards or to assess quality management systems. For example:
At Pro QC, we also work closely with clients and their suppliers to improve their system, processes and manufacturing capabilities. Below examples for reference:
In other words, our highly qualified engineers and auditors are able to bring your vendors to a higher level, reducing defects and costs in the process.
