As a brief introduction, the following components are discussed:<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Supplier Selection<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct a needs analysis (brainstorm and consider long-term growth expectations).<\/li>\n<li>Conduct preliminary interviews and\/or surveys.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/proqc.com\/inspections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evaluate samples<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Perform on-site audits (general quality systems management, ISO based, social responsibility, security, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Use a grid analysis for objective decision making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Supplier Evaluation (Performance)<\/strong><!--more--><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct pre-production, in-process and final pre-shipment inspections.\n<ul>\n<li>Trend the data and incentivize based on performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform regular audits.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a rating system.\n<ul>\n<li>Examples include no rating, quality rating only, quality &amp; delivery rating (graphic method), quality &amp; delivery method (cost index method) and a comprehensive method .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Supplier Partnerships<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Share information &#8211;
